## Template Rules

✅ **Do This:**
- Journal consistently (daily recommended, minimum 3x/week)
- Be honest — raw thoughts beat polished prose
- Track mood/energy patterns over time
- Use mood tracking to spot patterns
- Reference past entries to measure progress
- Keep entries concise but meaningful

❌ **Avoid:**
- Perfect writing (speed > perfection)
- Vague moods (pick the one that fits best)
- Skipping sections (adapt as needed, but consistency helps)
- Overthinking (write, don't edit)

## Import Instructions

1. **Create a new database** in Notion
2. **Add these properties** in the exact order above
3. **Create views** as listed (Timeline, Mood Tracker, Weekly Recap, etc.)
4. **Duplicate the template entry** as your first entry to test
5. **Customize colors:** Energized=🟢, Focused=🔵, Neutral=⚪, Stressed=🔴, Reflective=🟣, Grateful=🟡
6. **Start journaling** — consistency > perfection

## Notion Setup (Step-by-Step)

### Step 1: Create Database
- Open Notion workspace
- Click "New" → "Database" → "Table"
- Name it: "Journal" or "Daily Journal"

### Step 2: Delete Default Properties
- Delete the default "Name" property
- You'll rebuild with our custom fields

### Step 3: Add Properties (In Order)
1. **Date** — Date type, set as default property

### Step 5: Add a Template Entry
- Create your first entry
- Fill out all sections
- Duplicate it as your template for future entries

### Step 6: Set Habits
- Link to your calendar (use Notion's Google Calendar sync if needed)
- Set a reminder or check daily
- Review weekly in the "Weekly Recap" view
